If you're referring to my nether regions yes I do irrigate at least once a week.
You're Mother sounds a treasure, perhaps just floundering in a hazy state of self doubt. A review of her medication may be the trick. My own Mother took a turn for the worst just prior to her "conclusive incident". She decided that "Brazilian" was passe and adopted the latest "Bo Derek" that involved ironing her pubic hairs and platted extensions. Of course it looked fetching (to her), almost like a Scottish sporin dangling beneath her mini skirt causinfg no end of silicious coments from the neighbours.
