First time I wrote an email about a negative ticket counter experience, but I received a $30 credit card refund after emailing about an airport ticketing fee I thought would be waived. I had a $100 Type B paper voucher to use for a flight for my wife and infant son (who is technically free, but we wanted to buy a seat for him). The nice thing about these vouchers is that can be applied to a PNR with more than one passenger....although I could have booked the infant separately, I obviously wanted them to be on the same PNR rather than just "noted in the system" which means they would still remain separated. The reservation agent over the phone said the $25 phone ticketing fee would be waived since I'm turning in a paper voucher, but the agent at the ticket counter in PDX (first "negative" UA PDX experience ever, gasp) charged me a $30 ticketing fee for the infant since I had one voucher, not two (presumably only covering one passenger).
