That's what we do in Huntsville. When we have to go into a checked bag, we leave a love note. It's also machine-stamped with the date, the time, and marked with our ID number. There's also two cameras in every bay in checked baggage, covering everything.
I saw that on one of my recent trips when my bag was inspected. I was surprised there was even that amount of accountability.
