Unless both the hairstyle you want and your particular hair type are common in the area where you're traveling, chances are you'll be disappointed with the outcome.
Depending on the duration of your trip, it might be prudent to (at least temporarily) adopt a low-maintenance, "wash & go" hairstyle that doesn't require regular trips to a salon to look like it should.
