System updating - should it override rules?
Ok, I'll summarize... I'm a segment flyer. I made Silver one day with the first of four segments that day. I got the 25% bonus on segment 30, but not segments 31, 32, and 33. I made Gold with the third of four segments one day. I received the Silver bonus instead of the Gold bonus for segment 61.
Four contacts with Delta have resulted in three reps saying "we're sorry, we'll credit those miles, please allow 48 hours for them to post." Subsequent to each of those three reps and statements, I've received a "sorry, our system shows you were not a Silver/Gold at the time of flight, so we're not awarding miles" email.
Frankly, it's not a lot of miles (950 total), it is the point, and making me reply over and over is just increasing my frustration... SO.... Should the systematic limitations inherent to the system somehow over-ride the advertised rules?
