Pre departure
Was check in quick and efficient? Yes, Exec class check in took about 2 minutes.
Did you use priority security (if eligible) and if so, was it quick and efficient? N/A
Did you use the Maple Leaf lounge and if so, any feedback in regards to service, food and drinks? The MLL in Los Angeles is badly in need of an upgrade. The check-in agent was rather curt when I asked a few questions, and the room was not large enough for all the people using it. Also I was a little surprised when bar service had the same opening as Toronto (11 am). I know in Ontario you can’t start serving liquor until that time, but in California you can serve much earlier. The curt lounge employee said they used to open earlier, but haven’t for some time.
Was priority boarding offered (if applicable to your status) and efficient? Yes this went very well. Boarding had just started when I arrived, and the gate agents stopped the Y pax when I approached with my Exec. Class boarding pass, and put me at the head of the line.
If there was a delay, did the gate agent provide timely updates? No. However, just a minor 30 min. delay.

Onboard - J cabin:
Were the crew professional & well groomed? Yes
If there was a delay, were you provided with timely updates? Not really just an apology for the delay
Was the IFE activated on the ground? Not sure
Was a pre-departure beverage offered on the ground? Yes.
Did crew offer to hang your jacket? Yes, and they did.
Were newspapers & menus distributed and meal orders taken (Please specify when meal orders were taken - on the ground or in the air)? Newspapers not offered, meal orders taken in the air.
Did crew offer a hot towel prior to the meal service? No. Rather surprising, as I have always had the hot towel service before.
Approximately how long after take off did it take for the first meal service to be completed? (From takeoff to all items collected) I’m just guessing, perhaps two hours?
How was the quality of all the meals? Very good filet of salmon, however as for the cookies and ice cream the cookies were in the oven too long and they were rather hard instead of soft and chewy. We were served Hagen Daz ice cream which was a nice surprise, as I was expecting another brand.
Did the cabin crew continuously top up the beverage of your choice throughout the flight? Yes they did, although I did have to ask for a Grand Marnier after the end of the meal service.


Post departure
If you have checked baggage, did it arrive within reasonable period of time? It seemed to take longer than usual (I waited about ten minutes for my bags, however, that is not really all that bad).

Overall experience/any other comments

I experienced the Exec class suites on this 767 for the first time, and I was very favourably impressed. Looking forward to having them again on some future flight. Overall a very pleasant flight, notwithstanding a few minor issues.
