I think 30 minutes is really pushing it at IAH if you have to change terminals. I've done it but I really do not like to be rushed like that. I avoid tight connections at IAH whenever possible.

Worse case scenario would be a connection from the farthest reaches of Term E to the south side of Term A (saw a Colgan Q400 depart from an A gate adjacent to the AA gates the other day) or vice versa. Might be difficult to accomplish in 30 minutes.....
