This fall I will be doing a ton of traveling between ORD and HKG for work. All of my tickets will be full revenue tickets in either business or first class cabins. I have/am a member of passplus and I use my membership to pay for tickets. I am torn with this decision. Stick with United and be loyal in hopes of getting Global Services status. I will be traveling one to two roundtrips between ORD and HKG per month for about 9 months approx. I love the service, lounges, food, and just everything about CX. While I will accumulate massive amounts of miles and be at the top of CX's program I don't see what benefit there is to me. If I had United Global Services I could truly take full advantage being a GS member back home. My question is should I sacrifice the legendary service and amenities that CX has to offer in order to get Global Services with United Airlines? Does anyone one here have Global Services? Is the level of service that much higher then 1k? Thanks for your help. I have been reading this site for many years but never posted. Today is my first time every posting so take it easy on me!!
