Excuse my ignorance, but maybe some of the law enforcment officers in this forum can explain HOW it is that an officer became so careless that resulted in a loaded weapon being left in a restroom at the airport for anyone to find?.

Considering how many armed LEO's travel, its a very rare event. But as to how it happens? Because people are not perfect. Guess what, it will happen again. Many years ago when I was working my way through college, I found a firearm a local LEO left at a restaurant table. It happens.
But can I ask, why is it a bad thing that TSA can't be blamed? Is that how some of you look at all incidents at airports - how can we blame TSA for this?
