L'atelier In Paris

My wife and I recently were in Paris and decided to dine at Joel Robuchon's 2 Michelin star restaurant after hearing rave reviews from a few of my colleagues. Boy were we disappointed. The setup at this restaurant is pretty neat--you sit around the kitchen, watching the chefs make your food. The first course we ordered was the clams. The presentation was very nice, but the clams all had sand in them. The next dish we had was the seafood carpaccio. Once again, the presentation was very nice, but there were large grains of salt that we found in a few bites on the dish. The carpaccio was nice, but having a few bites of it with the salt was very odd. The other three small dishes we had were fine. Lastly, the mashed potatoes (which are pretty amazing) were served to us after all of our food was finished. They forgot to bring them out. Overall, the food was "ok"...not great, not bad, but certainly not what I would expect from a 2 Michelin star restaurant. In my opinion, Joel Robushon owes me $350.
