There appears to be some sort of glitch. My aa.com AAdvantage award bookings from the U.S.A. to various destinations in S.E. Asia now all indicate one class lower than the booking code (i.e., "Z" code is described as "Business" and "U" code is described as "Economy"). This has nothing to do with any cabin changes. For AA/CX award bookings, "Z" still means "First" and "U" still means "Business." AA and CX agents will verify the correct class, as will the CX "Manage My Bookings" web site. Not to worry.
This seems to still be the case as I just booked a CX business class award ticket and its showing U as economy on aa.com. AA said they are aware of this glitch.
