It's been reported this has been showing on international flights as well, and Jeff would never eliminate meals in J. Definitely a bug. But, yeah, it would be a big hint if it was only showing for domestic flights.
Edit: I did a test flight status for EWR-LHR (7/14/2011, 7:25pm). Here's what's posted:

Main Cabin: Hot meal featuring a choice of three main course options and a pre-arrival snack
So it definitely is a bug.
