I need to do some status run in order to get my gold membership...(it will be my time getting it)

I have done a bit research in the forum but I still have some questions..

with the JASA...how does it really works? If I use my points + pay the difference...I know I still get the status credits but do I get back the points on whatever fare I am in? When I look at it...I do not know if it is worth to burn my points to do so..

With the Auckland to Sydney or Sydney to Auckland on LAN...I cannot find anything around the AUD28x one way for business to get 80sc?
