SgtScott31 says (and I have no reason to doubt him), it's too bad she's pleading this out. Were it me, and I could afford it, I'd rather have the case tried than dismissed for the purpose of having one more court weigh in on the TSA mess. However I don't know what penalty Disorderly Conduct carries in TN, perhaps that was a concern as well.
And while I think anyone is perfectly justified in yelling at the TSA, I believe there is a fine line between "contempt of cop" (or a "coc charge," if you will

) and officers' legitimate need to maintain control over a situation that could theoretically escalate. I have no idea which side of the line this was on because I wasn't there, haven't read the full report and didn't watch the video. I will say, though, that in general, I consider cops legitimate authority figures, and the TSA a useless annoyance and as such will give the former's actions and decisions more credibility from the start (even though that credibility is sometimes shredded within two seconds).
