Without seeing any video, it's tough to say what happened here. I would be interesting to see if another passenger pulled out their phone and got some video of this. I know I would have pulled out my phone. Here is a line in the police report that bothers me:
"Eventually Abbott agreed to allow her daughter to be screened by TSA. Abbott retrieved her cell phone and was attempting to film her daughter being screened. I advised Abbott to put her cell phone away."
Why was she advised to put the phone away? I thought there was no restriction on filming at the checkpoint like this. She agreed to let her daughter be screened. I don't blame her wanting to film the screening just because of some reports around here of retaliatory screening. If she was allowed to film it, I think that might have diffused the situation.
