I have One World Sapphire status (AA Platinum) and I am trying to understand the partner airline luggage allowances. Domestically, I am allowed 2 pieces of luggage with no charge but not sure if I have the same privilige on partners airlines internationally?

I'm flying:
AA: SFO -> ORD -> LHR
BA: LHR -> SOF
Malev: VAR -> BUD -> GAT (booked via BA)
AA: LHR -> JFK -> SFO

I wonder if BA and Malev will allow me 2 pieces of luggage or a higher weight. when I flew BA in February 2011, they allowed me upto 32 kgs vs standard 23 kg but the customer svc rep told me the rules changed again in June 2011.

Any thoughts?
