Wow, you like playing with fire, don't you?

First, you considered taking water from the driver? Unless you know EXACTLY where it came from (including where the bottle has been), that is a sure recipe for ... um ... gastric distress aka delhi belly.

Then, you ordered beef in India? And were surprised it wasn't good?

In case this thread comes up in a future search:
- the drive from Delhi to Agra is 152 km, and can easily take 3 hours - that's driving sanely (for India - medium reckless for the rest of the world) and no real traffic issues.
- the line can get a bit long to get in the Taj, but it moves steadily. Note that, like most things in India, there are separate lines for men and women.
- my recommendation would be to get into Agra the night before and hit the Taj first thing in the morning, then go over to the Red Fort (which can take a full day by itself).

In Delhi, the Qutb Minar complex was, IMHO, cooler than Humayun's Tomb. Both paled in comparison to the Taj.
