Bear, I'm just curious. Do you have a problem with a company insisting on people not stealing the seats of others, whether by overlapping or simply sitting in it and refusing to move? Does having a clearly articulated rule against this seem too much to you.
I don't get along with people or companies that make a fetish of rules and regulations either. But a set of minimal, clearly articulated rules would be a breath of fresh air from the airline industry.
They aren't "minimal" rules, they are a set of strict rules designed to make everyone do exactly what
you want them to do.
