Drawing a line of causation between the legislation ("call your congress person;" not banks' or airlines' fault) and elimination of mileage bonus is pure political commentary as well as logical non sequitur. Legislation imposes no requirement regarding banks'/airlines' dealings with their customers. Banks/airlines make their own economic choices for any number of reasons.
