Me and the new Mrs. DunkSB are headed to Japan for a few days and then Thailand. We have our Tokyo hotels pretty well set via connections/point redemption, but we're still searching for a hotel in Kyoto for 2 nights. Any suggestions? For reference, we're planning on being out of the hotel site-seeing most of the time, and we'd love to keep it under $200USD per night if possible. If not hotels, any suggestions on what region we should look to get a room? We'd like a nice place but vibe is important too. We don't need super quiet, etc. We want to experience what we can in Kyoto without having too fuss to much to get to the good touristy spots.
