You have another 2.5 months to get the points up, the promotion expires September 30. Depending on what AMEX you have, it's pretty realistic to get at least one of your cards to 100k, if you focus spending on that card. If you each have separate cards, getting 25k on each card is a little tougher. Just start buying everything through the bonus points mall :-)

Edit:
Forgot about the 'Points Advance' feature. I'm not sure how many points you will be able to advance, but doing a quick search on the AMEX site (https://search.americanexpress.com/a...ints%20advance) finds:
"The Points Advance feature allows you to redeem for rewards more quickly by advancing Membership RewardsŪ points at no extra charge. It can be used for merchandise and gift card and certificate rewards. Simply earn enough Membership Rewards points to satisfy the Points Advance within 12 months. If you don't earn enough points by then, your Card account will be charged at the rate charged for Purchase Points transactions on the date that you received the Points Advance."

"A Points Advance must be done in conjunction with a redemption. You can advance up to the number of points required to complete your redemption, or the maximum number of points you have available to advance — whichever is less. The maximum number of points you can advance in the Membership RewardsŪ program is 5,000/15,000/60,000 points." (max points advanced seems to vary)

Might as well try it. Make sure to first register for the Delta promotion first, then try to transfer 100k points and see if it gives you the option to advance the points.
