This response is probably too late but I can highly recommend Westin (OK, perhaps not a major luxury hotel, but pretty nice as far as I'm concerned). All the Westins we've stayed at not only welcome pets but don't charge any fee at all. That's pretty great since we've run into fees of $75+ at nicer hotels for bringing our dog. I think the weight limit is 35 lbs but we've found that to be pretty flexible (our dog is about 45 lbs). Probably want to verify, but it's my sense that most/all US Westins have the same pet policy.
