Actually if you did a search for the JFK-SFO route you will find that the overwhelming majority of the N/S awards are 40k in the Y cabin.

Needless to say when you do a flexible date search and the actual days are highlighted in green for "low priced" awards they are still coming up with the 40k redemption amount.

BTW, on the JFK-LAX transcons I was able to find a few 25k Y awards but the vast majority are 32.5k. Also there were a few F awards for 62.5k on off peak dates but most of them were 80k.
