Warning: posting delays for purchased stickers
Apparently, as of July 8, a glitch has developed whereby online sticker purchases have to be processed manually. This means that rather than the stickers posting within 2 hours of purchase, they now take days. What's worse is that most AA personnel, including Web Services, don't know about this problem.
If you need the stickers to post faster, you will have to call Web Services, explain to them about the glitch if they are not aware of it, give them the PNR for which the stickers are to be used, and ask them to find the transaction and move it to the top of the queue for manual processing. Even after that is done, it will take 4-6 hours for the transaction to be processed and for you to get the email receipt (which typically comes with a standard record locator).
They don't seem to know how long it will take to fix. It's already been 3 days.
