Sometimes codeshares work, and sometimes they don't. I fly Shandong Airlines and Shenzhen Airlines on occasion (CA flight numbers) and am batting around 50% (lounge access). I will say, however, that there's no point even trying in Jinan because the lounge there is not a *A lounge.
