is there a limit to the number of rooms one can hold?
I was holding a total of 10 rooms (2 King singles; 4 twin doubles; 4 twin singles) in four reservations for the Doubletree in Miami in early December during Art Basel. I realize that I can only get HHonors credit for two rooms but it seems logical that if the drop down menu for # of rooms goes up to 26+, then 10 rooms doesn't seem extraordinary.
After discussing marketing our proposed tour to Art Basel with a colleague today I pulled up the reservations to double-check what types of rooms I'd booked and numbers and discovered that two of the four rez had been canceled, leaving two rez totaling five rooms. The only message in the two canceled rez was "You may contact our Internet Reservations support for further assistance at 1-800-HILTONS. " No email from the property or Hilton to even let me know that they'd canceled my reservations.
I plan to call the number and speak with an Internet Rez support staff, but before I do I wanted to find out from other FTers if there was a T&C that I'd broken by booking 10 rooms. I read through them and couldn't find any.
Thanks for your feedback!
