This is getting a bit OT from the OP, but.....
I love "real" books and have a house filled with them. However, I also love being able to embark on a two or three week trip with a small library of reading material but without a heavily laden suitcase. Some of my lifelong favorite classics are now always with me, no matter where in the world I travel.
An ebook does not have the beauty of a paper book but it has the same written content. I am not staring at words on a screen, I am reading them. The language that is entering my mind is the same, whether on a piece of paper or on a screen.
Have you ever actually tried reading on a Kindle or a Nook? If you have, then we have a difference of opinion. If you haven't ever read an ebook, you should try it (a book, not just a page) before you pass judgement.
