My understanding was that the "old" Visa Signature card received the same benefits as the "new" Premier card. Can anyone confirm whether this is correct?

I see my options as follows:

1) Call SW or Chase and inquire as to the missing tier qualifying points. (This assumes I was supposed to have received them and did not.)

2) Call Chase and inquire about upgrading to the Premier card and request retroactive TQPs based on spend since March 1. (Anyone have any idea whether they will do this?)

3) Apply for a new Chase Premier card and cancel my existing card, thus netting the 50,000 bonus points. (Will they allow this?)

Thanks for your thoughts, or additional suggestions.
I think you have to get the new Premier card for the 1500 TQPs. $99 a year, but you get 6000 WN points, a wash.

I'd keep the existing card and apply for a new Premier one in addition. If anyone asks, tell them you want one for business and one personally.
