There are 2 US-type plugs for every 3 seats in EC section of 777 + USB on every seat.
I had my Macbook powered for the whole 13+ hours flight, no problem.
Some cheap/old laptops could have a problem with that sockets. It seems their power adapters require high start-up power, which blocks the socket.
