FYI I live in the UK.

I asked some advice a while ago regarding Florida reward tickets and was surprised that even though I am planning for 2013, and so would be prepared to book one year in advance (or whatever the maximum is), and would be happy to use any of the three Florida destinations, and would be happy to flex my dates, the chances of getting four of us on one plane was remote.

I love flying BA and always use them when I can. I've said before but I never thought in a million years I'd earn Silver status and the thought that I could take my family to Florida in Business Class, well, that was just for 'posh' people. I really thought that the BAEC was my path. It seems the path is wide enough for only one or two, not a family of four.

I like the idea of variable mileage charges, providing, of course, that they are realistic and 'cheap' seats are still available.
