I suspect the OP is a cousin from across the pond and would perhaps qualify for the Chase promotion (whatever that is) rather than the BA AmEx.

Perhaps s/he has not tried all the competitive programmes. I for one give up on trying to find DL or Flying Poo awards on dates anywhere near my preferred dates, though until now AA do seem to have had better availability for me than DL, AF or KL.
