About 10 years ago I was staying at the Hilton John Wayne Airport (was a Diamond) and they said there was no upgrades available. When I entered my room there was a Naked fat man on the bed. I quickly left and went downstairs where the manager was waiting (obviously the other guest had called). Lo and behold I was upgraded to a nicer room, which really made me angry (why was it not available 5 minutes earlier). the funny thing was that at the meeting the next day (10 colleagues) 3 others had similar stories (always naked fat men) where does the Swedish Volleyball team stay?
The moral of the story is I always use the safety bar or chain as I enter the room now
I know the hotel you are speaking of, and absolutely hate the place! Never had a fat man in my room (at that hotel, it actually did happen once though in Tucson). My hotel keys never worked, they charged stupid prices for parking and internet, there was a minibar fridge in the hall with a rotting smell eminating from it for 2 days, and they charged me for bottled water from my own minibar because they found a bottle I had consumed in my room...which I had brought in and
wasn't even the same brand as the ones they had in the mini fridge!!
