I also had a bad experience on 1790 on 6/28. First, it was leaving a little late. Then they announced that they were going to have to stop to refuel in Kansas City. Since I only had an hour connection time to the last flight to Buffalo, I was getting rather worried. Then they pulled away from the gate, and just sat there for 20 minutes. They returned to the gate and announced some mechanical issues. By then, I knew I would not make the flight and asked to get off, as did a few others. They had announced that they would give hotel vouchers for CLT, but I really preferred to stay in LAS (I have a home and husband there!), and go the next day. As they were rescheduling me, another 100 plus people got off the plane, so it was obvious that they told everyone with connections to get rescheduled and get hotel vouchers. Glad I was first in line! So four hours after I was dropped off, the husband was back to pick me up.

So it appears that this is a regular problem with that flight. I guess it went out very late and probably did not have to refuel since I imagine there was only one third of the passengers on by that time.

And my flight out to LAS a week previously, was only delayed 5 hours. Ahh, the joys of airline travel.
