That IS a wonderful bargain, and when I hit 62 (in 2031), I will definitely get one!
For my 2012 trip, however, I might get an
America the Beautiful Annual Pass for $80, which will cover my entrance fees to all of the national parks and rec areas on my list. I'll have to add up the total entrance fees once I finalize my itinerary, and see whether it is cheaper to get the AP or to pay out of pocket per entrance.
