companion works esp well if your going for a long trip. dont have a problem with it. if you travel to Europe only then maybe no point but otherwise it works. you also get points for stuff like food and gas. the points can be used for many things other then just travel like gift cards and the like.
TYP network greatly improves the gift card offerings now it has many "useful
" gift cards in the 10K for $100 level so you get the full 1 penny per point value versus the 6K for $50 level that was the prevalent in the past.
I am sure those who own a house could use the Home Depot / Lowe's / Sears gift cards on an ongoing basis.
