Just look around the airport and you can thoroughly see why airlines top the list for the majority of people. I thank my stars that I am an elite with the airlines I fly, and alliance benefits that status includes. I could never endure a normal check-in line, security line, or boarding process. Then getting on board, trying to find a place to store my bag(s) since there's no free checked bag allowance. Not sitting in E+ because I'm not an elite and won't pay for the privilege, then complain about the lack of leg room! I continue to reflect on this as I get served my preflight drink in my F seat while the masses shuffle past in their version of the Perk Walk!
Were it not for that great US ally (and friend of the Bushes), the Saudi royal family, we'd not be facing these indignities. Oil would still be in the $40 a barrel range, al Queada would never have been born, and travel would be a humane experience where airlines would not have to nickel and dime to cover off $100 oil to make a profit, and airport security would be minimal.
