I have done lots of SDC but they have always been on non-stops and always appeared as choices for earlier flts to change to.
Also, I will be CO Plat at the time. If my DH and I are on the same PNR would there be no fee for him as he would be viewed as a Plat also since he is on my record?
I can tell you what happened to me and I think it'll answer all of your questions.
First, I'm CO Gold. I had a direct flight from HNL-EWR on CO metal and at T-23, called and requested a SDC to a specific flight on UA metal that had a connection in ORD. My SO with no status was on the same PNR and everything went through paying $50 ($25x2) for the change.
If you'll be CO Plat, the change will be free for you. Good luck!
