I got dinged once last year on a CDG-BLQ flight (coming from ATL). I had my 20" roller and my computer bag with me, no checked bags. FA tells me I have too many bags with me, and that's not allowed.

Me: but I only have 1 bag (regulation size) and 1 personal item (computer bag)

FA: That's 2 items, and we only allow 1. since this flight seems to be empty, I'll let it slide THIS time, but next time it won't be this way.

Never had another issue after that.
