I guess Pret a Manger sees a lot of people coming. When my son was seven or so we visited London and he decided all he cared to eat was the pre-wrapped smoked salmon sandwiches from Pret at GBP4 or 5.00 a go. It is pretty easy to run up a tab.
Let's be fair to Pret and the likes - their food is of high quality and is fresh (they always sell on the day of production). A Pret sandwich is almost uncomparable to a plastic packet sandwich that's been sat in a fridge at a newsagent for a couple of days.
