I enjoy my local minor league (AAA, one step down from the Majors) team better than MLB, and precisely for the reasons noted. More family atmosphere, players playing their hardest to secure a big league contract (or players down from the majors on rehab), lower cost for tickets and concessions, etc.

Then again one thing I can't get here is a proper soccer match.
