What T&C's did the OP violate? Try booking a YVR-FRA-YVR flight on AC.com, and check the fare rules, as I reported in post #63. It does state that "TRAVEL FROM LAST STOPOVER MUST COMMENCE NO EARLIER THAN THE FIRST SUN AFTER DEPARTURE FROM FARE ORIGIN." The OP hasn't said whether his return on the second ticket was before the first Sunday, but did indicate he did not spend a full week before returning. There is nothing more detailed than this statement available on the AC site when purchasing tickets. Reading the fare rules, there is no indication that the word "travel" refers to other tickets as well. Of course, I am not a lawyer.
