questions re: notifying credit card of overseas use

I wanted to run a few questions by you all just so I know what to expect before I call my CCs. Please don't bother replying to this with, "call them and ask." Thanks.

I am familiar with notifying my credit card companies that I will be overseas for a week or two. However, I will be moving to eastern Europe (Hungary) for a couple years to teach, beginning next month.

1. Do any of you have experience putting a travel notification on your CCs for such an extended time?
2. Do you think they will give me a hard time about it?
3. Can I give my location as "all through Europe" or will I have to call them whenever I go to a different country?
4. Can they list an "indefinite" travel period or will I need to call them every month, 2 months, etc.?

I'm just curious about your thoughts, so that I can anticipate how the conversation will go when I call Capital One and Bank of America.

If you have experience with this, I would love to hear about it. Thanks much.
