Cannot understand why you never used your QMiles that would have surely given you at least a discounted seat in business class anyway. I got upgraded when a burgundy holder, but that was only due to my aircraft arriving late and the later connecting flight having no availability in economy. I have been a Silver for two years now and although I have never been upgraded at Silver level at least I get an invite into the lounges, take extra luggage and can use the business class line when using ecomomy. However those sandwiches are the worst ever, heartburn or what!!!
