I first flew Qatar on Jan 2 this year and was gold by mid March. Half a year later and I had 500 QPoints, too many segments to count, and a thorough disgust of stuffed hot sandwiches.

Never once was I upgraded to business (even on jam full flights with an empty Biz Section).
Never once was I able to request an exit row.
Never once was I able to get a seat at the Gold lounge in Doha.
Twice I was over charged for a date change, once your Dubai staff said "why do you care, your company pays it anyhow."

Qatar, I'm waving goodbye to you from to you from EK762. I have a good view of your plane from this biz seat they upgraded me to. Hard to say I'll miss your color coded boarding passes or the hostility of your ground staff. I dare say I won't miss those sandwiches!
