I have a huge problem with their behavior. You're OK with this jerk wearing only socks in a public room? It's not sanitary. And bathrobes in the lounge is not acceptable behavior outside of the walmart crowd. I don't want to live in a 'people of walmart' world.

I'm reminded of Edmund Burke's quote, "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."
In this case, all that is necessary for people to start wearing only pajamas/underwear/bathing suits/robes in the lounge is that good people do nothing.
Simply put, it IS NOT YOUR LOUNGE and not up to you to enforce what people do there. It is MARRIOTT's lounge. Those people either paid for the right to be there or also have status, and did not pay to listen to you critique their wardrobe. What makes YOU think that your fashion sense is superior? "Triumph of evil"??? Seriously! We are talking about a couple wearing a bathrobe to a lounge! It's not like they are sticking their toes in the food. I wear socks from Walmart sometimes, are you gonna come around and inspect them? What if I wear my $200 Lacoste bathrobe? Is that acceptable? What if I wear white after labor day? What if someone is wearing clothes a bit too tight? Where do you draw the line? And what would you say?? "Sorry, your clothing selection doesn't meet MY tastes for this area of the hotel. Please go change." Its a club lounge with some mediocre free food and drinks, its not a restaurant with a dress code. If you want a dress code for lounges, write to Marriott and ask them to implement them. But engaging in some type of personal crusade to ensure that people in the CL dress to your standards is ridiculous. I am at the Ren in DC now. Tonight there was some dude in a Hawaiian shirt, which I thought was out of place. But who am I to say that to him? What could possibly be gained from that?

I can tell you one thing, if I were ever in a lounge and you said something to me, I would have more than a few words back for you. And I don't care if you call me Walmart trash either. That Walmart trash is in the same place you are--deal with it or find a new hotel chain that won't let this "trash" in.
