I agree with you on not finding some of the "flat" seats that comfortable, but at least you can set them to a recline and still sleep.

My last trip to NRT from DFW showed suites, even upon checking 1 hour before the flight. When I got on it was the coffin. I hate that seat fully reclined (it kills my back), so I slept with it partially up.

Just a pet peeve, but with almost 9 million miles I've never yet gotten a suite seat even though I've booked at least a dozen flights where it was scheduled.

If you're flying in 1st, make sure I'm not on the flight!
