I did an award redemption recently and the first thing I said to the agent was "let's check IB first (as in before AA or LX)" And she said "
really??" IB has clearly come a long way in a short period of time (with a ways to go as well.)
Also, as referenced in the other threads, IB can be VERY cheap in business class compared to the competition. Also, did you find that the IFE functioned flawlessly and was very responsive to the controller? (not the case on CX, for example.)
And, flying out of JFK you get to use BA's excellent dedicated check-in area which is SUCH a pleasure compared to AA check-in/AC-- a major plus-- such a pleasant and tranquil start to the trip that you actually look forward to it.
