This isn't true. It makes no difference whether the Gold is the primary or companion.

Also - Assuming 2 seats availabe for upgrade....If I am 75K and hubby MVP, does it makes a difference who's the companion or revenue passenger? Does compan vs. rev make difference in how status is viewed for the reservation?
