The noise is actually something we're struggling with, as these cats aren't always quiet in their cages. I'm usually the one that gets irritated with crying babies so I guess I will be learning a lesson in patience on this trip. I am reluctant to sedate them, having no opportunity to sedate them in a controlled environment and see how they respond to the meds first (I had a dog once that, if you gave her a sedative-type drug, it made her really nervous and she'd do nothing but shake and vomit for 6 hours; I'm sure most folks would rather hear a cat crying than hear a cat crying and vomiting). At any rate, we're going to do our best to keep the cats quiet but don't expect the cabin crew to force us to medicate them or anything, and we'll do whatever we can to calm them and distract them. We'll also apologise in advance to the folks seated in front of us.
