My previous experience for reward booking was two steps process, first HHonors issue the reward certificate, and then associate the reward certificate number to the hotel booking. I can cancel the hotel booking but have the option to keep the reward certificate for later use. Has this been changed?
But that's my point, there are no more reward certificates issued, paper or electronic.
